Virginia Millet, Staff Chaplain

Virginia “Ginger” Millet, was born in Baton Rouge, LA; is a graduate of high school in Denham Springs, LA; lay ministry (United Methodist Church) in music, worship and the arts in LA, VA, GA, AL, and the Panama Canal Zone.

She has a BA in Religious Studies, Louisiana State University (LSU);  a MDiv, Emory University, Candler School of Theology; is an Ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church (Louisiana Conference); completed her Clinical Pastoral Education at Atlanta Tri-Hospital; and is an endorsed chaplain by the United Methodist Endorsing Agency (UMEA).

Ginger is a board certified chaplain by the Association of Professional Chaplains; certified in spiritual direction, LA Conf. UMC.

She has been a chaplain at UAB Hospital since September, 1996, was married to Harold Wayne Millet 22 years, and has three adult sons, two daughters in law and one granddaughter.
