Patti Keeler

Patti Keeler is an ordained minister and endorsed chaplain by the Southeast Conference of the United Church of Christ.

She received her Masters of Divinity from Andover Newton Theological School and is a Board Certified Chaplain by the Association of Professional Chaplains.

She completed her internship in chaplaincy at Women and Infant’s Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island and her residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.

Patti is also a registered nurse and holds board certification in Holistic Nursing. Her passion for the spirituality in nursing led her to seminary. She served as a staff chaplain at Massachusetts General Hospital for seven years and as a hospice chaplain for two years before moving to Birmingham from Maine to join the UAB staff.

She currently serves as a chaplain to all of the Neurology units including: Neurology-Intensive Care (NICU), Neurology Stroke Surgical Units (NSSU), Neurosurgery (UNSN), and Neurology and Seizure Monitoring (M8).

She and her husband, Wayne, are proud parents of Scott who lives in Boston and Kaitlin who lives in Birmingham. They are proud grandparents of Teya Grace and Colin Daniel, both of Birmingham.
