Minnie Wright, Staff Chaplain

Minnie Wright is from West Point, Mississippi. She is ordained and endorsed through Chaplaincy of Full Gospel Churches in Duncanville, Texas. She served as a commissioned Deaconess in the United Methodist Church from May 2006 through October 2016. Minnie retired from AT&T, Inc. with 30 years of dedicated customer service.

Minnie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi; a Bachelor of Arts degree in Leadership Ministries from Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham, Alabama; and a Master of Divinity degree from Vanderbilt Divinity School in Nashville, Tennessee.

Minnie served as a Clinical Pastoral Education Resident at G. V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. She served as a Clinical Pastoral Education Fellow at the North Texas Health Care Center in Dallas, Texas. After completing her Clinical Pastoral Education, Minnie served as the Evening Staff Chaplain at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Currently, Minnie serves in the capacity of Night Staff Chaplain dedicated to the Emergency Department (ED).

Minnie Wright’s mantra is To God be the glory!!! Her greatest passion is to walk alongside others to build community, establish relationships, and provide spiritual and pastoral care support to those in need.
She is a proud mother of three sons and proud grandmother of two grandsons. She is pursuing board certification with the Association of Professional Chaplains.
