Matt Andrews

Initially a Chaplain Resident (2015-2016), Rev. Matt Andrews became a PRN Chaplain in September 2016, and joined the staff as a part-time regular Chaplain in February, 2017. Matt also serves as the Associate Pastor of Youth and Missions at Liberty Crossings United Methodist Church in Vestavia Hills, AL and as a Doctor of Ministry Candidate at Emory University.

Matt has now entered his eighth year of pastoral service, having served multiple congregational, academic, and clinical settings in Alabama, California, and Texas. In 2012, he graduated from George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University in Waco, TX with his Master of Divinity.

He is married to his best friend and love of his life, Emily, who recently began employment on the music and worship faculty at Samford University. Matt and Emily reside in Homewood with their three dog babies—Lily, Daisy, and O’Henry.
