Ben Crocker, Part-Time Chaplain

Ben Crocker was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee within a family heritage rooted in the Christian faith.

After completing his bachelor’s degree in Economics from East Tennessee State University in 2010, he and his wife, Sarah, returned to Knoxville to pursue graduate degrees in their respective fields.

While working towards his M.A. in Economics, Ben began to discern a call to ministry while serving as a youth minister and pulpit supply at his local church. After receiving his degree in 2014, Ben enrolled in seminary at Beeson Divinity School, graduating with his M.Div. in 2018.

Currently, Ben serves as a Deacon for Iron City Church, preaching occasionally, leading a community group, composing and editing devotionals, and facilitating the church’s prayer ministry. His wife Sarah is a speech therapist for Birmingham City Schools, and both are honored to serve the citizens of Birmingham in their current roles.
