Emily Hall

Emily Hall (Hazleton) grew up just north of Seattle, Washington. She was raised with exposure to a variety of Christian traditions but specifically settled into the Anglican Church in North America through a church plant in Chicago.

Emily attended Moody Bible Institute, where she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Linguistics with an interdisciplinary in Biblical Languages. She loves languages and the Bible and has enjoyed the opportunity to intern with Bible translation organizations in Nepal, Italy, and Indonesia.

After completing her undergraduate degree, Emily moved to Birmingham to attend Beeson Divinity School. In the meantime, she served as an intern at Christ the King Anglican Church in Hoover, Alabama. She completed her Master of Divinity in May 2020.

Emily married Robert Hazleton, a fellow Moody and Beeson student who also hails from the Pacific Northwest in June 2020. They still attend Christ the King, where Robert remains an intern while finishing his own Master of Divinity.

Emily is excited for this opportunity to learn about providing pastoral care through practice at UAB. Emily enjoys hiking and laughing with her husband, playing with her cat Buttercup, writing, trying new recipes, gathering with friends (when there isn’t a pandemic), and trying to keep her herbs alive.
