We have multiple spaces for quiet prayer and meditation throughout our Hospital for our guests and employees.

  • The Interfaith Chapel is¬†in the West Pavilion, first floor near Patient Discharge area
  • The Sanctuary (Meditation) Room¬†is in the North Pavilion, second floor off hallway, approx. 50 ft from elevators
  • The Chapel in the Women and Infants Center, second floor, approx. ¬†25 ft across from elevators


  • Women’s Bible Study

  • Zentangles, Fridays — 12:30-1:00 p.m. The Kirklin Clinic Meditation Room, Second Floor near Guest Services. ¬†Led by Elizabeth Vander Kamp,¬†esvk63@uab.edu. ¬†The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. Almost anyone can use it to create beautiful images. It increases focus and creativity, provides artistic satisfaction along with an increased sense of personal well being.
