Eric Clark

Eric Clark is a native of Northeast Georgia and moved to Birmingham in July 2017. He received his B.A. in Philosophy from Georgia State University, during the course of which he spent a formative year studying at Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen.

After graduation, he started his Master of Divinity degree at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology. He spent the first year of his program at the Friendship Center as a clinical pastoral intern and his second year as a congregational pastoral intern at Berea Mennonite Church, where he has been an active member and educational volunteer since 2011.

For his third year, he participated in Candler’s study abroad program with the Lutheran theology faculty at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. Eric’s church home is firmly within the Mennonite Anabaptist tradition, and he has a passion for exploring how the latter bears on spirituality, church practice, public theology, and ecumenism. But now that he lives in Birmingham, he also looks forward to getting to know and befriending the city and its people.
